1. Agreement to these terms

3. Online estimates are preliminary

Our website includes a tool that produces a preliminary estimate range based on a roof outline you draw, the roof pitch you select, the roofing system you choose, and our current indicative rates.

This output is provided for general guidance only. It is an approximation, not a quotation, and it does not constitute an offer capable of acceptance. No contract arises between us on the basis of an online estimate.

A binding price is only provided in a written quotation issued by us after an on-site inspection and measurement.

The preliminary range does not account for factors that can only be assessed in person, including but not limited to:

• The true measured area, pitch and complexity of the roof, and the number of planes.
• The condition of the existing roof covering, decking and structure, including any concealed damage.
• Requirements for removal and disposal of the existing roof.
• Flashing, ventilation, penetrations, skylights, chimneys and other detailing.
• Access, staging and site constraints.
• The final material, profile, finish and colour selected.
• Permits, inspections or other regulatory requirements that may apply.
• Changes in material or labour costs between the estimate and the quotation.

4. Accuracy of information

We take reasonable care to ensure the information on this website is accurate and current at the time of publication. We do not warrant that it is complete, accurate or up to date at all times.

Descriptions of roofing systems, materials and processes are general in nature. Product specifications, availability and manufacturer terms are set by the manufacturer and may change without notice to us.

Nothing on this website is intended as engineering, structural, legal, insurance or financial advice. Obtain independent professional advice where your circumstances require it.

5. Warranties

Any description of warranty cover on this website is general information only. The warranties that actually apply to your roof are those set out in the written documents provided to you on completion, together with the manufacturer's own warranty terms for the products installed.

Warranty cover is subject to the conditions, exclusions and maintenance requirements stated in those documents.

Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website — including text, layout, graphics, photographs, logos, icons, and the design and source code of the site and its estimating tool — is owned by or licensed to Work Bangers Inc. and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law.

You may view the site and print or download extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use in connection with considering our services.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, sell or exploit any part of the site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

12. Separate contract for roofing work

These terms govern your use of the website only. Any roofing work we carry out for you is governed by a separate written contract between us, which will set out the scope of work, price, payment schedule, timeline and warranty terms.

Where these terms conflict with a signed contract for work, the signed contract prevails in respect of that work.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

You agree that the courts of Nova Scotia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of this website.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
